Abstract

En el presente informe, se presenta el proceso desarrollado en la pasantía realizada en la Universidad Santo Tomás, en donde se tuvo como objetivo el planteamiento del programa de gestión y control de vertimientos de las aguas residuales, generadas en los edificios Fray Alberto Ariza, Luis J. Torres, Dr. Angélico, Aquinate y Campus San Alberto Magno de la Universidad Santo Tomas, sede Bogotá. Con este fin se realizaron actividades como capacitaciones sobre el consumo de agua, la adecuada disposición de residuos sólidos, la adecuada separación de residuos líquidos generados en los laboratorios y manejo de aceite residual de las cafeterías y restaurantes para su entrega actual a terceros certificados para su adecuada disposición; también se realizó la divulgación del manual de buenas prácticas ambientales con temas sobre adecuado mantenimiento de las redes de agua residual y, además, la contratación de terceros para la disposición de residuos, proveedores de productos de aseo y análisis de la calidad de los vertimientos, por medio del departamento de planta física. Por otra parte, se realizó una campaña estudiantil, para la divulgación de material impreso y digital sobre las buenas prácticas ambientales en las áreas comunes de la universidad; esto con el apoyo de la facultad de mercadeo. Finalmente, se recopiló información por medio de las inspecciones de cumplimiento. Como producto de este trabajo se elaboró el plan de acción para la adecuada gestión de los vertimientos y mejoramiento de la calidad de las aguas generadas tomando como base la normativa colombiana, específicamente la resolución 631 del 2015. Las actividades fueron vinculadas al desarrollo de un proyecto interdisciplinario con la dirección de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria. La implementación de este programa se llevó a cabo desde agosto de 2018 hasta abril de 2019.

In the present report, we observe the process developed in this internship carried out at Santo Tomás University, where the aim of the management program and control of wastewater discharge, generated in buildings Fray Alberto Ariza, Luis J. Torres, Dr. Angelico, Aquinate and San Alberto Magno Campus of the Santo Tomas University, Bogotá. To this end, activities were carried out, such as training on water consumption, proper disposal of solid waste, handling of residual oil from cafeterias and restaurants; the manual of good environmental practices was also disseminated with topics on adequate maintenance of wastewater networks and, in addition, the contracting of third parties for the disposal of waste, suppliers of cleaning products and analysis of the quality of the discharges, through the Department of physical plant. On the other hand, the student campaign was carried out, where the dissemination of printed and digital material about good practices in the common areas of the university was raised; this with the support of the marketing faculty. Finally, information was collected through compliance inspections. As a result of this work, the action plan was elaborated for the proper management of the wastewater discharge and thus the improvement of the water quality generated based on Colombian regulations, specifically resolution 631 of 2015. The activities were linked to the development of a interdisciplinary project with the Direction of University Social Responsibility. The implementation of this program was carried out from August 2018 to April 2019.
