Modern Toplum Üzerine Kısa Bir Kavramsal Tartışma

Abstract

Genelde bütün sosyal bilimler, özelde sosyoloji aynı gerçeğe farklı pencerelerden bakarak modern toplumu yorumlama ve açıklama çabasına girmişlerdir. Bu nedenle sosyolojinin düşünsel ve yazınsal birikiminin çok önemli bir yanı bu kavramsal tartışma ile oluşmuştur. Modem toplumu niteleyen kavramlar böylece sosyolojik çözümlemenin anahtar kavranılan haline gelmiştir. Bu makalede bu kavramlar üzerine kısa bir tartışma yapılarak, onların hem kuramsal anlamda sosyologic hem de toplumsal gerçeklik anlamında sosyolojik temellerinin bulunup bulunmadığı araştırılacaktır. Literatüre atıflarla kapitalizm, kapitalist toplum, sanayi toplumu, modernizm ve modem toplum kavranılan üzerinde durulacak, sonuçta postmodernizm nitelemesiyle ilgi ve ilişkileri vurgulanacaktır. Temel sorumuzu şöyle ortaya koyabiliriz: Bu tiplemeler birbirinden faklı gerçekliklerimi ifade etmektedir, biz bu kavramlardan hangisini kullanmalıyız ya da aralarında bir seçim yapmak zorunda mıyız? Generally ali the social Sciences and particularly sociology tries to explain and interpnet the same fact through diffeıent perspectives. By the way, the dimensions of intellectual and literal accumulation in sociology is set up by conceptual debate. The concepts that qualify modem society became the key concepts of sodological analysis. In this paper, by having a short discussion on these concepts, both whether have a base on sodologic reality and the theonetical meaning in sodologic are going to be investigated. By reffemng to the sociological literatüre the concepts such as capitalism, capitalist society, industrial society, modernisin, modem society, are handled and their links related to postmodemism are emphasized. The main problems unfolding that whether the typologies expness diffenent realities of modem society which of the concepts are most favorable or do we have to chose one of them?
