Abstract

Çalısmamız, Gediz ilçe merkezinde bulunan ilköğretim okullarının 8.sınıföğrencilerinin yazılı anlatımlarındaki aktif kelime servetinin belirlenmesine yönelik birçalısmadır.Çalısmada Gediz merkezde bulunan 8. sınıflardan random (rastgele) yöntemiyleseçilen her sınıf için 90 öğrenciye üç farklı (Anı, serbest konu ve otobiyografi) anlatımtüründe toplam 270 adet kompozisyon yazdırılmıstır. Yazılı verilerde geçen kelimeler,öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik seviyelerine, cinsiyete ve üç farklı anlatım türüne göreincelenmistir.Çalısmamızda, 270 adet yazılı kompozisyonda toplam 36.518 kelime tespitedilmistir. Bu kelimelerden 2813'ünün çesit kelime, 33.705 kelimenin ise bukelimelerin tekrarı olduğu belirlenmistir. Sosyo-ekonomik seviyeleri yüksek olanöğrenciler, toplam kelime sayısı açısından daha basarılı olurken, toplam kelime çesidiaçısından orta seviyeli öğrenciler daha basarılı olmustur. Cinsiyet açısından kızöğrencilerin hem toplam kelimede, hem de çesit kelime sayısı açısından daha basarılıoldukları tespit edilmistir. Üç farklı türde (anı, serbest konu ve otobiyografi) yazdırılankompozisyonlarda kullanılan toplam kelime ve çesit sayısının en fazla anı türünde; enaz ise otobiyografi türünde olduğu görülmüstür.

The purpose of this study is to determine the treassure of written activevocabularies of 8th grade primary school students in the center of the province of Gediz.Randomly selected 8 th grade 270 primary school student involved in this studyand they were encouraged to write compositions. The words written by students weretried to classified at the base of grade level and socio-economic groups wereindividuallye valuated.In this study, 36518 words were detected from 270 students' compositions texts.Only 2813 of these words were unique words and the other 33705 of these words weresomehow synonyms of the words. The students,who have high socio-economic levels,were more successful than others. In these compositions, the most of unique words wereused in memory compositions, the least of them were used in autobiography
