Tarihsel Gelişim Sürecinde Kent Kısıtlı Tarihsellik Anlayışı Üzerine Eleştirel Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract

Urban and urbanization as today’s important facts, are one of the major factor in human development. In spite of this importance city and urbanized life are tried to explain in limited and certain ways by the theorists. In this paper, I try to submit a critical aproach to “restricted historical conceptualization” takes place in urbanization theories. Through this approach I aimed to explain urban and urbanized life in its whole historical context. By holist historical view, the neolitic developments, mediavel and Islamic mediavel changes and finally, industrial city and related explanations are evaluated.
