Abstract

Çalışma; tütün tarımının insanlar üzerindeki zararlı etkileriyle ilgili literatür bulgularının birleştirilmesi çabasıdır. Literatürde yer alan çalışmalar tütün tarımı, tütün, nikotin, oksidan, antioksidan ve sağlık anahtar kelimelerinin kombinasyonlarının kullanımı ile tespit edilmiştir. Hem ülke dışında hem de Türkiye’de bu alanda yapılmış çalışmaların çok az olduğu görülmektedir.Artan oksidatif stres, azalan antioksidan statü nedeniyle tütün tarımının insanlara zararlı olduğu ileri sürülmektedir. Literatüre dayalı olarak; tütün tarımında çalışan insanların karşılaşabileceği muhtemel sağlık problemlerinin ele alındığı ve önleyici metotların vurgulandığı bu derleme ile tütün tarımının insan sağlığına etkilerine dikkat çekilmiştir.

The study is an attempt to integrate findings of relevant literature on harmfull effects of tobacco farming on workers. The researches appeared in the literature was located by using combinations of keywords: Tobacco farming, tobacco, nicotine, oxidants, antioxidants, and health. Studies conducted in Turkey and outside of the country are very few. Published studies revealed that because of increasing oxidative stress and decreasing antioxidant rates tobacco farming is harmfull to indivuduals. Based on literature possible health problems of people who work in tobacco farming were identified and methods of preventions were clarified.
