Phlebeclasia is a term describing an isolated saccular or fusiform dilatation of a vein without tourtuosity. Jugular phelebectasia is an entity that is being increasingly recognized in recent years. There is a controversy about etiology. Histopatologic studies also are distinct in literature. This paper reports a 15-year-old girl complained of intermitant non-painful right neck swelling while speaking loud or straining. The patient was followed for two years uneventfully. After two years of follow-up the patient began to complain about cosmetic problems. Surgery was offered and the patient rejected surgery.

Jugular phelebectasia, son yıllarda giderek daha fazla tanınan bir varlıktır. Etiyoloji hakkında bir tartışma var. Histopatolojik çalışmalar da literatürde belirgindir. Bu yazıda 15 yaşında bir kız çocuğu yüksek sesle ya da zorlamada konuşurken ağrısız, sağ boyun şişmesinden şikayetçi. Hasta iki yıl sorunsuz bir şekilde takip edildi. İki yıllık takipten sonra hasta kozmetik problemlerinden şikayet etmeye başladı. Cerrahi teklif edildi ve hasta ameliyatı reddetti.
