Erlerde HBSAG pozitifliği

Abstract

investigate the HBsAg positivity in soldiers.Sera were taken from soldiers and HBsAg positivity was investigated by using solid-phase dot EIA method. We found the HBsAg positivity rate to be 6.2 % ( 149 / 2400) Despite the availability of vaccines for more than 15 years, hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection continues to be an important public health problem and the HBV vaccination of adolescents and young adults are generally neglected in many countries. These results reflect our country HBsAg positivity state because of all of soldiers have been come to Manisa from different cities from Turkey. HBV infection is an important health care problem in our region and our country; therefore for preventing of HBV infection, education and immunization of sensitive young individuals is necessary.
