The objectives of this study were to investigate possibilities of dill seeds (Anethum Graveolens L.) both by broadcasting and precision planting method in laboratory and field conditions. Physico-mechanical properties of bare and pelleted seeds were determined. Field sprout output degrees, relative sprout output degrees and germination times were examined in the field trials. Field sprout output degree was 78.30% and relative field sprout output was 78.87%. In machine sowing, the average sprout output degree was 91.02% and the relative sprout output degree was 104.61%.According to these results, the successful sowing of pellet seed by machine was obtained according to the spreading sowing. Similar growth was observed between the two sowing methods in terms of output times and development. Field tests were carried out in Research and Application Farm, Agriculture Faculty, Adnan Menderes University. İn the laboratory studies, dill seeds were coated to increase sphericity suitable for price planting method by machine. After coating, seeds were planted directly into the soil on the trial plots. The experimental design included two planting method with three replications; therefore, planting of dill seeds were carried out in six trial plots. İn field tests, Percentage of emergence were determined as 78.30% and 91.02% for the broadcasting method by hand and precision planting method by machine, respectively. İn laboratory tests, percentage of germination were determined as 87% and 99.3% and for coated and uncoated dill seeds, respectively. Bu çalışmanın amacı çıplak ve peletlenmiş dereotu tohumunun serpme ve pnömatik hassas ekim makinasıyla ekilebilme olanaklarınını laboratuvar ve tarla koşullarında belirlemektir. Denemeler Aydın ili Büyük Menderes Havzasının içinde bulunan Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Çiftliği arazisinde yapılmıştır. Dereotu bitkisinin daha iyi koşullarda yetiştirilmesi amacıyla standart çeşit (düz yapraklı), iki farklı ekim yöntemi (serpme ve hassas) üç tekerrürlü olarak 6 parselde tarla denemeleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tarla denemeleri serpme ekim ve peletlenmiş dereotu tohumlarının hassas ekim makinasıyla ekilmesi şeklinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Aynı zamanda kaplanmış dereotu tohumlarının pnömatik hassas ekim makinasıyla ekim kriterleri belirlenmiştir. Laboratuvar koşullarında peletlenmiş dereotu tohumlarında %87, çıplak dereotu tohumlarında %99.3'lük çimlenme oranı elde edilmiştir. Çıplak ve peletli tohumların fiziksel özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Yapılan tarla denemelerinde tarla filiz çıkış dereceleri, nisbi tarla filiz çıkış dereceleri ve çıkış süreleri incelenmiştir. Elle serpme ekimde tarla filiz çıkış derecesi %78.30 ve nisbi tarla filiz çıkış derecesi %78.87 olarak bulunmuştur. Makinalı ekimde ise tarla filiz çıkış derecesi ortalama %91.02 ve nisbi tarla filiz çıkış derecesi %104.61 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlara göre peletli tohumun makine ile ekiminde serpme ekime göre başarılı sonuç elde edilmiştir. Her iki ekim yöntemi arasında çıkış süreleri ve gelişme bakımından paralellik görülmüştür.
