There have been two well-established political movement in Turkey. This one of the two well-established political movements was gathered in Republican People's Party (RPP) and the other was collected in the Democratic Party (DP). After passing from the single party system into the multi-party regime ,the rulling and opposition parties had tried to adopt the new system and the concept of democracy has been replaced in poltical life by turning into a defining meaning among the members of the parties. The subject of this thesis is about the DP Managing stuff who came from the CHP between 1945-1960 years to make themselves different from CHP. The main purpose of the study,is to be understood that how the tradition of DP was formed despite the CHP and how they formed the inception of CHP and how they criticised the CHP by the DP top managers and DP parliaments's speech from it was formed until it was closed. Thus, it had been tried to show how the Turkish Liberal Conservatists built a 'left'' and CHP image at the sight of their own electors .The purpose of this was the sources of the speecable violence in Turkish Political Culture to be solved. For this purpose,the primary sources related to the subject which is available in Literature were scanned and ''The Zafer'' newspaper's archive which can be cosidered as the DP's semi-official organ in The Grand National Assembly of Library microfilm archives,and the DP's Parliamentary group meeting minutes and the documents which was consisted of Adnan Menderes's speechesand statementswere used.

Türkiye'de iki köklü siyasi hareket var olmuştur. Bu iki köklü siyasi hareketten biri Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, diğeri de Demokrat Parti'de toplanmıştır. Tek Parti döneminden çok partili rejime geçişle beraber iktidar ve muhalefet partileri yeni sisteme uyum sağlamaya çalışmış ve demokrasi kavramı siyaset hayatında partiler arasında ayırt edici bir kavrama dönüşerek yerini almıştır.Bu tezin konusu, 1945-1960 yılları arasında Demokrat Parti yönetici kadrolarının, kendilerini, içinden çıktıkları Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi'nden hangi söylemlerle farklılaştırdıklarıdır. Çalışmanın temel amacı, Demokrat Parti geleneğinin Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi'ne rağmen nasıl oluştuğunu, kuruluşundan kapatılmasına kadar Demokrat Parti üst yöneticileri ve DP ileri gelenlerinin söylem ve demeçlerinden hareketle, nasıl bir Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi algısı oluşturduklarını ve Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi'ni hangi söylemlerle eleştirdiklerinin anlaşılmasıdır. Böylece Türkiye liberal muhafazakâr (merkez) sağının, kendi seçmen kitlesinin gözünde nasıl bir `sol` ve CHP imgesi inşa ettiği gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bununla amaçlanan Türk siyasi kültüründeki söylemsel şiddetin kaynaklarının çözümlenmesidir. Bu amaç için çalışmada konuyla ilgili literatürde var olan birincil kaynaklar taranmış, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Kütüphanesi Mikrofilm arşivinde bulunan, Demokrat Parti'nin yarı resmi organı sayılabilecek Zafer Gazetesi arşivinin tamamından ve DP Meclis Grup Toplantı Tutanakları ile Adnan Menderes'in konuşma ve demeçlerinden oluşan belgelerden yararlanılmıştır.
