11 ABSTRACT In this work, zinc present in environmental samples was complexed with PAR and the complex was adsorbed on anion exchanger Sephadex QAE A-25 and determined directly by solid phase spectrophotometric method. Weather the complex is deteriorate or not was checked by reading the absorbance with 5 minutes intervals. Stochiometry of Zn-PAR complex was investigated both in aqueous phase and solid phase. The detection limits of the complex both in aqueous phase and solid phase were determined and enrichment factor was evaluated. The interference of metal species present in natural waters with Zn-PAR complex was also investigated. Zinc in mineral water as a representative of environmental samples was determined by solid phase spectrophotometric method. Öz Bu çalışmada çevre örneklerindeki Zn2+; PAR ile kompleksleştirilerek oluşan kompleks, anyon değiştirici Sefadeks QAE A-25 üzerinde tutuldu ve doğrudan katı faz spektrofotometrik yöntemle tayin edildi. Kompleksin zamanla bozunup bozunmadığı belli aralıklarla okunan absorbans değerlerinden kontrol edildi. Zn-PAR kompleksinin stokiyometrisi sulu fazda ve katı fazda olmak üzere ayrı ayrı incelendi. Kompleksin sulu faz ve katı fazda tayin sınırları tespit edildi ve zenginleştirme faktörü hesaplandı. Doğal sularda bulunan metal türlerinin Zn-PAR kompleksine girişim özellikleri incelendi. Çevre örneği olarak seçilen içme sodasındaki Zn2+ miktarı katı faz spektrofotometrik yöntemle tayin edildi.
