
Unusual infections may occasionally be the first sign of cancer.We present a patient admitted with septicaemia caused by Clostridium septicum. After successful treatment of the infection, cancer of the transverse colon was revealed by further examination.In cases of unusual infections, underlying malignant disease should be suspected.
