Le desapariciones in Cile tra dittatura e democrazia

Abstract

Il saggio ha l’obiettivo di trattare il tema delle despariciones in Cile come strumento di repressione del dissenso e di lotta alla cosiddetta sovversione da parte della dittatura guidata da Augusto Pinochet Ugarte cominciata con il colpo di Stato dell’11 settembre 1973. In particolare il testo si propone di affrontare il modo in cui il regime ha pianificato e adoperato la tragicamente nota pratica delle “sparizioni”, pratica utilizzata specie nei primi periodi della dittatura civico-militare, sebbene in misura minore rispetto ad altri casi coevi come ad esempio quello della vicina Argentina. Inoltre, il contributo vuole indagare quale sia stato il sentimento sociale una volta venuti alla luce i casi riguardanti i desaparecidos, quali problemi si siano posti di fronte all’emersione delle memorie e delle richieste di giustizia dei famigliari degli scomparsi e, infine, in che modo lo Stato democratico abbia affrontato il tema in termini tanto di politiche di memoria quanto di accertamento della verità giudiziaria e non solo.
