This paper shows the results of acoustic measurements carried out inside a courtyard of the “Reggia of Caserta” (Italy) without audience, and with the aid of a software for architectural acoustics the acoustic characteristics, with audience, were analyzed. The acoustic characteristics of the courtyard were compared with those set out in current literature for different types of rooms where music shows are performed. The results showed that the objective acoustics of the courtyard can be considered satisfactory for the performing of orchestral symphonic music.
