Abstract: ‘Mediterraneo rappresentato’ indaga su due aspetti della diffusione identitaria di questa civiltà: geografico-mitologico, attraverso l’analisi della rappresentazione cartografica di un passaggio marittimo di notevole rilevanza, lo Stretto di Gibilterra; estetico-figurativo, attraverso l’analisi configurativa di un peculiare motivo del sistema ornamentale islamico, l’intreccio geometrico che tanto caratterizza la cultura del disegno decorativo in Maghreb attraverso la tipologia artigianale dello zellij.
