Teoria e trasformazioni sociali: dalla critica della critica alla generatività

Abstract

Al di là della capacità di saper cogliere, accompagnare e decodificare i sommovimenti e i cambiamenti della società, la teoria sociale lungo tutto l’evo moderno è risultata sempre, essa stessa, un fattore decisivo di trasformazione, che si è rivelato prezioso soprattutto nei momenti di crisi del regime di regolazione istituzionale egemone in una fase data. Questa vocazione trasformatrice stenta a manifestarsi al presente, ossia in coincidenza con la crisi sistemica del regime neoliberale che già dal 2008 ha avuto una serie di manifestazioni di carattere finanziario, economico, politico e ora persino sanitario (con la diffusione del Covid-19). In questo contributo, proveremo a mettere a fuoco il tipo di relazione critica che è venuta istituendosi nel corso della modernità tra teoria sociale e forme della regolazione istituzionale, nonché a indicare, attraverso i concetti di “dotazione” e “generatività”, i tratti di una possibile fuoriuscita dal regime istituzionale oggi in crisi, sia sul piano teorico che sul piano delle pratiche sociali.
