“Danza senza aggettivi”

Abstract

Il titolo “Danza senza aggettivi” prende spunto dall’espressione di d’Amico “Musica senza aggettivi”; accostando questa definizione alla danza si sottolinea la sua capacità di trascendere, nella lunga durata, le strette suddivisioni in generi teatrali. In un’antologia dei temi da lui trattati, più che una puntuale e cronologica disamina degli spettacoli recensiti, includo le figure che hanno incarnato un’epoca - l’esuberante Elssler, il demiurgo Djagilev - e soprattutto i saggi sull’impegno etico e politico, le riflessioni letterarie e filosofiche sull’idea del balletto classico, sino alla celebrazione del connubio Apollo-Tersicore nell’adamantina lettura di Balanchine delle partiture di Stravinskij.
