Bus Rapid Transit characteristics include exclusive bus lanes, high-capacity vehicles, increased distance between stops, more frequent service, traffic signal priority’s, rail-like stations and real time passenger information. The present paper deals with a performance evaluation about the capabilities of BRT to provide, in the Italian cities, a network of high quality and high reliability services.
