Abstract

E’ stata avviata una ricerca mirata ad approfondire le tematiche connesse all’impiego di pompe di calore geotermiche per il riscaldamento di serre dedicate alle colture orticole, cercando di analizzarne i principali e multiformi parametri costruttivi, operativi e funzionali. A tale scopo sono state predisposte due serre gemelle e una di esse è stata riscaldata da un impianto geotermico a bassa entalpia, appositamente ideato e realizzato, costituito principalmente da una pompa di calore equipaggiata con sonda geotermica verticale e da un sistema di accumulo dell’acqua calda composto da un Boiler dotato all’interno di uno scambiatore di calore. L’altra serra gemella, non riscaldata, è servita per confronto. I risultati ottenuti, sebbene di natura introduttiva, evidenziano in modo chiaro che un impianto di questa tipologia consente di risparmiare, rispetto ad una convenzionale caldaia alimentata a gasolio, circa il 75% dell’energia spesa per il riscaldamento, con un conseguente risparmio economico sul consumo energetico di circa il 40%, senza considerare i costi di ammortamento delle attrezzature.
