The theme of urban and housing stock regeneration is today the focal point of a debate on which a large number of researchers and governments at national and international level are focused. In recent years the construction sector has focused primarily on energy efficiency during the construction and management phase, but scant attention has been paid to the needs of a user typology in strong transformation. The heterogeneity of contemporary social groups makes particularly strong the need for experimental models able to interpret the complexity of contemporary living. The research aims in particular to operate in the field of social and temporary housing identifying strategies and tools for the ex-novo design and functional, spatial, technological transformation of traditional housing. Thus, it is possible to combine multiple typological, cultural, energetic and economic factors ensuring high social mixitè and experimenting advanced technical, technological and typological solutions.
