Abstract

The MaTRis project aims to define added value products and services, derived from EO data, in different application areas that range from environmental monitoring to urban and landscape planning. In this context a convention with Apricena Municipality and ICAR Department of the University of Bari (that is producing the Apricena PUG) has been signed. In support to the PUG development the detailed specifications for the production of a digital land use map (CUS 2010 Apricena), functional to the activities of strategic planning of the territory and derived from high resolution multispectral satellite images, have been defined. Furthermore the specifications of the “Morphotypes” map and of some cartographic indicators that can be produced with the help of satellite data and used in support of the VAS for PUG monitoring have been defined
