Present work deals with the hydroelastic interaction during the wave impact against an elastic aluminium plate inserted in a rigid wall of a sloshing tank. With the aim of showing the evolution of the hydroelastic effects, a flip-through impact event is studied. A two-dimensional tank, scaled with the geometrical and Froude similarity, was used for experimental activities. Strain gauges and pressure transducers were used to measure the deformations of the elastic wall and the hydrodynamic pressure. Bacause of the impulsive load exerted by the wave on the structure, the behavior of the beam is characterized by a large first peak followed by free oscillations, with a frequency equals to the lowest natural one.
