Abstract

Il contributo riporta gli obiettivi e lo stato di avanzamento della ricerca AURA che si muove all’interno delle Nature Based Solutions. Si tratta di un progetto design driven che coinvolge una rete marcatamente mutidisciplinare. Il design, specificamente, svolge il ruolo di coordinare i processi sperimentali e applicativi, attraverso la capacità di visualizzazione di processi complessi e la generazione di soluzioni di prodotto. AURA rappresenta un progetto pilota rispetto all’integrazione tra naturale ed artificiale, sia in funzione delle soluzioni di sistemi di prodotto, che al fine di sperimentare un nuovo modello di manifattura 4.0, in cui entrano in gioco le capacità produttive e di sperimentazione della digital manufacturing, assieme all’attivazione di elementi botanici capaci di purificare l’aria. In particolare la ricerca sviluppa e prototipa sistemi di arredi urbani integrati con componenti vegetali e sensoristiche funzionali a definire modelli operativi definibili “smart&green”; ossia capaci di mettere a sistema funzioni di riattivazione urbana sostenibile e responsiva che, considerando la città come un habitat complesso sia dal punto di vista biologico, che culturale, che sociale, sia capace di proporre “nuovi atti fecondanti [...] ovvero nuove relazioni fertili tra insediamento umano e ambiente” (Magnaghi, 2010).
