Italy has a high aging rate that will grow over the next few decades. The objectives of active aging are not present in National Recovery and Re-silience Plan (Nrrp) (Next Generation EU). The article analyzes the strategic coherence between Italian Nrrp and European active aging policy. The interpretation of the Nrrp text was made through an ana-lysis of the discourse that employs an analytical scheme derived from the theoretical and conceptual setting of the UE Active Aging Index. The conclusions discuss the results of this analysis in relation to the possible implications for the implementation planning of the Nrrp.
