Street Art e Urban Art: le scale urbane come luoghi per originare scenari suggestivi/Street Art and Urban Art: urban stairways as places to create suggestive scenarios

Abstract

The essay proposes an itinerary through works of street art and urban art that choose urban steps as a support for their representations. Singular canvases, which strongly influence the choices, techniques and methods that artists use for their representations. A reading of the phenomena is proposed by identifying three macro-categories. The first regards those forms of art that are realized in temporality, provisionally. Ephemeral urban art forms, capable of giving rise to fascinating spectacles that also identify their strength in their nature of transience. On the other hand, the second category includes visual art forms made with the collage technique using ceramics. The latter includes all those forms of street art that are paintings, murals made with paints, spray cans, etc. as a privileged means of expression. Street Art is an art form that has transformed canonical and conventional schemes on how to enjoy a work of art. The way in which art is related to has been subverted, the way in which to enjoy and use visual art forms. The study is completed with some experiments aimed at verifying and investigating the perceptual tricks that are necessary to create realistic and graphically completed works.
