Abstract

La realizzazione di infrastrutture verdi promuove un approccio integrato alla gestione del territorio e determina effetti positivi anche dal punto di vista economico, nel contenimento di alcuni dei danni derivanti dal dissesto idrogeologico, nella lotta ai cambiamenti climatici e nel ristabilimento della qualità delle matrici ambientali, aria, acque, suolo. In uno scenario di sfondo di cambiamenti climatici e di sostenibilità dello sviluppo, le infrastrutture sostenibili come opere necessarie a garantire le condizioni di “sopravvivenza” dell’ecosistema urbano e dunque come infrastrutture primarie, senza le quali lo sviluppo economico non potrebbe aver luogo. Lo studio in questione è stato sviluppato in tre parti:una parte generale che sviluppa e mette in relazione considerazioni generali sui concetti di urbanizzazione, infrastrutture verdi, servizi ecosistemici, resilienza e multifunzionalità oltre a presentare l'infrastruttura verde nella manualistica internazionale, nelle politiche europee, statunitensi e asiatiche e nella pianificazione territoriale; una parte che lega il concetto di infrastruttura verde alle risorse economiche e ai fondi strutturali come opportunità di attuazione di tali pratiche sia a livello urbano che naturale/ambientale; un’ultima parte che invece presenta una metodologia per un progetto infrastruttura verde.
