Abstract

Si delinea il modello di flusso concettuale dell'unità carbonatica individuata dal gruppo montuoso Montea-Carpinoso (Calabria settentrionale). Questo è situato immediatamente a nord della cosiddetta"paleolineadiSangineto",che segna il contatto tra i domini carbonatici della catena appenninica e le unità cristallino-metamorfiche dell'Arco Calabro-Peloritano. La sua conseguente evoluzione geologica e tettonicahafortementecondizionatol'idrografiasuperficialee frazionato il deflusso idrico sotterraneo. Si consideri che nell'ambito del presente studio sono state monitorate mensilmente (marzo 2005- ottobre2006)ben15sorgenti,distribuitelungoilmargineoccidenta- le con portate medie variabili tra 28 e 165 l/s, tutte alimentate dalla falda basale seppure differenziata a grande scala in due distinti baci- nisotterranei.Ad esse si aggiungano gli incrementi in alveo osservati nei principali corsi d 'acqua, specialmente nel bacino settentrionale, laddove il loro sviluppo coincide con importanti allineamenti tettoni-ci. Addirittura nel caso del T. Vaccuta si assiste, per l'estrema tetto-nizzazionedelleroccecarbonatiche,adunfenomenodireinfiltrazio-ne delle acque fino alla quasi estinzione del deflusso superficiale.È da notare che la diversa evoluzione geomorfologica e geodi- namica dei massicci carbonatici calabresi, rispetto a quelli ben noti presenti in altre zone dell'Italia meridionale, hanno esaltato la con-dizione di falda in rete
