Aim of the work is to study the influence of the interaction between the fibres/matrix and the tool on the cutting force in drilling of glass fibre reinforced polymers (GFRP). Experimental analysis has been developed machining monodirectional and fabric GFRP. Instantaneous variation of the cutting force are described under different cutting conditions and fibre layout. The experimental results shown that the instantaneous variation of the force can be fundamental to introduce delamination damage in composites.
