Infrastruttura paesaggio: la ricerca

Abstract

Landscape is an infrastructure: this is the starting point of the research project “Landscape Infrastructure – Rome’s metropolitan area experimental projects for ecological and social activation and regeneration” (Sapienza University of Rome). The article traces the assumptions, tools, methods and results (particularly in relation to one of the areas concerned). The text describes the reading of the Roman landscape, the choice of the study areas and the catalogue of the selected elements; the sites and the requests posed by the communities are presented through photographs and interpretative and configurative diagrams; thus, outlining a process that leads to the proposed new networks of open spaces.
