FRICTION STIR PROCESSING SU AZ91 HPDC: CARATTERIZZAZIONE MECCANICA E MICROSTRUTTURALE

Abstract

Il presente lavoro si propone di correlare le proprietà micro- e macro-meccaniche di piastre in lega di magnesio AZ91 di 3 mm di spessore, ottenute per pressocolata ad alta pressione (HPDC), sottoposte a friction stir processing (FSP). A tale proposito, sono state realizzate prove di FSP con velocità di rotazione e di avanzamento dell’utensile variabili. Le indagini inerenti all’evoluzione microstrutturale sono state condotte in microscopia ottica ed elettronica a scansione (SEM), mentre le proprietà meccaniche sono state testate con misure di microdurezza e prove di trazione in temperatura. Rispetto al materiale di partenza, le piastre sottoposte a FSP sono caratterizzate da valori di microdurezza che dipendono dai parametri di processo. Le prove di trazione condotte a 300°C e a 10-3 s-1 mostrano valori di duttilità inferiori al 5-6% e resistenza a trazione massima di 60MPa nel campione FSP a 2500rpm e 30 mm/s.
