Abstract

Le narrazioni, al di là della “piattaforma” attraverso cui vengono espresse (libro, film, cartoon, giocattolo, sito web, videogioco, etc.) riconfermano modelli tradizionali e stereotipi presenti nell’immaginario o nel vissuto quotidiano, oppure stimolano la curiosità, diventando agenti di mutamento sociale che ridefiniscono i ruoli di genere e l’immaginario, per attivare un processo di decostruzione. In ottica pedagogica, per agire da cittadini nella società dell’informazione bisogna essere capaci di capire e valutare i messaggi diffusi in qualsiasi contesto narrativo, oltre che comprendere che ogni narrazione e rappresentazione mediatica ha implicazioni sociali e politiche, esprime punti di vista che non sono neutri, ma in cui si possono riscontrare categorie quali potere, autorità, valori culturali: chi o cosa è assente può essere più rilevante di chi o cosa viene incluso. Si propongono, dunque, due esempi di possibilità narrative per costruire empowerment di genere attraverso il digitale: l’app PLAY4!, e il videogioco Florence.
