Abstract

Il volume indaga il concetto di natura partendo dall’osservazione del territorio veneto e pugliese. L’interpretazione delle molteplici forme in cui la natura si manifesta e le relazioni che da essa derivano nella percezione dell’ambiente che ci circonda, ha sollevato una riflessione sul paesaggio contemporaneo, sulle sue potenzialità ma anche sulle sue criticità. Negli ultimi cinquant’anni, le politiche economiche hanno incentivato l’occupazione dei territori rurali e cancellato progressivamente gran parte dei tratti caratteristici della pianura veneta così come quella pugliese. Le rapide trasformazioni del territorio hanno prodotto l’immagine di un paesaggio omogeneo e frammentario’ caratterizzato da aree urbanizzate indifferentemente anteposte ad aree naturali confinate in ambiti circoscritti e protetti. Oggi i processi di dispersione urbana non sembrano arrestarsi. Per questo le campagne fotografiche rappresentano ancora un importante strumento utile a documentare lo stato dei luoghi ma anche a sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sulla necessità di un recupero dei caratteri ambientali del paesaggio che, originariamente, celebravano una perfetta sintonia tra uomo e natura.
