L’intervento che si propone qui intende mettere a confronto il quadro teorico e i fenomeni che risultano evidenziati dalla new urban aesthetic – il nuovo sensorio urbano per come è concepito, prodotto e vissuto – con la realtà di alcune città storiche italiane, in particolare sulla base delle letture innovative della loro consistenza sensibile-percettiva compiute nella prima metà del secolo scorso da filosofi ed estetologi come Georg Simmel, Siegfried Kracauer, Walter Benjamin ed Ernst Bloch.

The paper proposed here intends to compare the theoretical framework and phenomena that result highlighted by the new urban aesthetic-the new urban sensory as it is conceived, produced and experienced - with the reality of some historic Italian cities, particularly on the basis of the innovative readings of their sensory-perceptual texture made in the first half of the last century by philosophers and aestheticians such as Georg Simmel, Siegfried Kracauer, Walter Benjamin and Ernst Bloch.
