Verso una metodologia visuale della salute

Abstract

Ormai d’abitudine, anche le esperienze più traumatiche passano attraverso la narrazione visiva. “Visualizzare il trauma” mediante le opportunità che la dialettica e i media ci offrono, documenta in qualche modo come gli individui affrontano l’inaspettato nella contemporaneità. Davanti ad un fenomeno sociale, infatti, ognuno di noi è un potenziale “generatore e consumatore di contenuti”, un testimone d’eccezione che si può inserire all’interno di questo flusso (iper)testuale cercando un modo rapido per apprendere e una forma compatta per memorizzare. Immagini testuali o fotogrammi hanno caratterizzato l’allarmante rappresentazione del rischio mettendo in scena le differenti e altalenanti situazioni di pericolo legate alla diffusione e severità della pandemia da COVID-19. La virulenza semantica legata al COVID-19, infatti, è passata anche attraverso una metodologia visuale che ha dialogato con la salute mediante parole metaforiche e iconografiche. In tal modo, ciò che si metterà in risalto è il modo in cui illness ed etero-illness legate al Covid-19 ovvero l’esperienza (diretta e indiretta) delle persone dinnanzi all’evento patologico siano state espresse attraverso canali che possono risultare più “creativi”.
