La Scapigliatura fra tradizione e innovazione

Abstract

Spesso definita la prima “avanguardia” italiana, la Scapigliatura è il movimento artistico-letterario sviluppatosi negli anni ’60 e ’70 dell’Ottocento. Attivi a Milano (ma non solo), questi autori maledetti interpretano un profondo disagio nei confronti della società borghese e capitalistica. Eredi di Baudelaire, sprezzanti verso la religione tradizionale come pure verso la nuova scienza positivista, gli Scapigliati preludono alle esperienze più mature del Decadentismo e del Simbolismo. Il saggio introduce alla lettura delle opere poetiche più significative della Scapigliatura. Tra gli autori selezionati, accanto ai tre “maggiori” (Praga, Boito, Tarchetti), gli altri di area milanese e lombardo-veneta (Ghislanzoni, Gualdo, Zendrini, Salmini, Pinchetti, Fontana, Cavallotti, Turati); i piemontesi (Camerana, Cagna, Molineri); i campani (Torelli); gli emiliano-romagnoli (Guerrini) e i liguri (Zena).
