Abstract

L’Africa è spesso descritta come il continente più mobile al mondo, ma di quali circolazioni migratorie si sta esattamente parlando? La convinzione che nel prossimo futuro una parte consistente della popolazione africana si riverserà in Europa ha un qualche fondamento concreto? Rispondere a queste domande è meno facile di quanto si potrebbe pensare. Disagio mentale, capitale sociale, reti familiari, rimesse e sviluppo, lavoro minorile, urbanizzazione e politiche migratorie sono alcuni dei concetti chiamati in causa. Un percorso dal Sahel alla Somalia, dal Bénin all’Uganda sino al Sud-Africa che vanta la capacità di collocare l’analisi della migrazione nel tessuto quotidiano delle società africane e di restituirci l’esperienza concreta di donne e uomini a vario titolo coinvolti nell’avventura migratoria.
