Abstract

Il Colle di Udine puo essere considerato una vera e propria peculiarita geologica che si impone per la propria particolare morfologia, connessa a ragioni tettoniche e fl uviali; morfologia che e stata funzionale in epoca storica alla costruzione di un probabile proto-insediamento (castelliere, II Millennio a.C.) e, in tempi alto-medioevali, allo sviluppo del principale nucleo abitativo di tutto il Friuli.
