Abstract

Se le forme del racconto autobiografico continuano a mutare in maniera vertiginosa e la folgorante formula di Rimbaud «Je est un autre» costituisce l'emblema della difficoltà ineludibile di raccontare il proprio Io, l'inserimento all'interno di una costruzione autobiografica di un corredo fotografico, assume il valore di una testimonianza tangibile della verità del racconto. L'unico modo per recuperare i ricordi sembra essere l'utilizzo di strumenti che esistono fuori dalla scrittura e che compiono il loro ruolo in relazione ad essa, come scrive Paul Ricoeur dicendo che «la représentation du passé paraît bien être celle d’une image». Già con Asterusher (2015) Michele Mari ha cominciato un itinerario che affianca parola e immagine ma con Leggenda privata (2017), scrive la sua autobiografia usando fotografie, con lo scopo di edificare un racconto in cui il mezzo fotografico estragga dal tempo passato le assenze odierne, toccando un reale che prima poteva essere solo scritto e non verificato.
