Gingival recession of marginal tissue is one of the most common finding in dentistry. Inflammation, incorrect orthodontic tooth movement or tooth-brushing trauma are the determinant factors of the apical location of the gingiva to the cemento-enamel junction. Clinical procedures advocated are laterally positioned pedicle flap, guide tissue regeneration (G. T. R.), free gingival or connective tissue graft and bilaminar connective tissue graft. A literature review on bilaminar graft and case reports are presented.
