PROVE PRELIMINARI DI EFFICACIA INSETTICIDA DELL’IDROLATO DI MONARDA DIDYMA CONTRO TRIALEURODES VAPORARIORUM

Abstract

Nell’ambito delle alternative “naturali” per il controllo delle avversità delle piante, gli insetticidi di origine vegetale possiedono interessanti potenzialità di impiego in agricoltura biologica e nella difesa delle derrate immagazzinate. Nel biennio 2018-2019, presso la serra sperimentale del Plesso Serricolo Scarabelli dell’Università di Bologna (Imola), è stata per la prima volta saggiata l’attività insetticida dell’idrolato (Id) di Monarda didyma L. nei confronti di Trialeurodes vaporariorum, uno dei fitofagi maggiormente diffusi e dannosi in ambiente protetto. Nel complesso, sono stati allestiti tre biosaggi, due nel 2018 ed uno nel 2019, nei quali l’efficacia dell’Id è stata confrontata con quella di due prodotti commerciali: Prev-Am® plus e Agricolle. I risultati ottenuti nel 2018 hanno mostrato un’elevata efficacia insetticida dell’Id, superiore a quella dei prodotti commerciali utilizzati. La prova effettuata nel 2019 ha invece evidenziato un calo drastico dell’attività insetticida dell’Id, conseguenza della degradazione di alcuni componenti del fitocomplesso, confermata dalla comparazione della caratterizzazione chimica (GC/MS) fra il 2019 ed il 2018.
