Abstract

Immediatamente dopo il black-out culturale determinato dalla dittatura di Augusto Pinochet (1973-90), le lettere cilene hanno vissuto un momento di grande fermento, libertà e sperimentazione che si può leg- gere nelle opere di Pedro Lemebel (1952-2015), Roberto Bolaño (1953-2003), Diamela Eltit (n. 1949), Marcela Ser- rano (n. 1951), Jaime Collyer (n. 1955), Gonzalo Contreras (n. 1958). Un punto importante per comprendere gli svi- luppi della narrativa cilena del nuovo millennio è offerto da un’antologia che due giovani scrittori (Alberto Fuguet, n. 1964, e Sergio Gómez, n. 1962) hanno curato nel 1996 e che, già dal titolo (McOndo), rivendica per la letteratura ci- lena l’esistenza di una pluralità di modi e forme non più cor- rispondenti all’esotismo cui il realismo magico aveva abituato il lettore europeo e statunitense.
