Abstract

Nel quadro complessivo delle città del medio Adriatico -costituite per lo più da fondali bassi, con fenomeni di inurbamento spesso spinti fino ai limiti della linea di spiaggia- la struttura urbana di Pescara rappresenta una tipica esemplificazione. Ad oggi, nella città, sono state avviate diverse ipotesi di trasformazione prevalentemente connesse alla qualificazione dei luoghi aperti e degli spazi esterni di percorrenza nel paesaggio costruito. In tale contesto il Progetto “Verso un piano Spiaggia per Pescara” costituisce una ricerca progettuale di esemplare coerenza. Il tema centrale della proposta è nel suo esplicito obiettivo: creare una “diversificata continuità” ed una relazione tra la città e lo spazio aperto verso il mare, tra urbano e contesti sull’acqua, tra il paesaggio costruito ed i margini, seppur ristretti, di naturalità residua presenti.
