The theme of identity and relationships between different ethne has always attracted the attention of scholars. It is not easy to identify the indicators of these relationships through archaeological methods. This paper focuses on how two different communities, with distinct identities, have engaged in a political and economic relationship, which enabled them to enter and to take control of the Sele-Ofanto Valleys trade network between the 6th and 5th cent. BC.
