Reinforced Concrete Buildings

Abstract

This chapter presents research developments made in the field of seismic assessment of reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings. Special attention is given to the case of masonry-infilled RC frames which are very common in Italy and are often damaged in earthquakes, as illustrated by previous events such as the L’Aquila earthquake in Central Italy in 2009.
