Abstract

Il saggio apre una finestra sul pensiero politico e sull’elaborazione teorica di Giuseppe Mazzini in un percorso di studi volti a cogliere la presenza delle donne nel processo di affermazione e di crescita dell’unità nazionale e dell’affermarsi di una identità italiana unitaria, intesa in questo caso come maschile e femminile. L’attenzione è posta sul “sistema mazziniano” alla cui costruzione la riflessione sul ruolo femminile non fu né marginale, né scarsamente organica, ma ben strutturata nell’impianto complessivo delle sue dottrine e dei suoi postulati politici e sociali. In particolare ci si sofferma su quelle molte delle protagoniste del Risorgimento italiano che espressamente dichiararono di avere nel pensatore genovese un maestro e un ispiratore.
