Un projecte de vida indipendent: un projecte per a la qualitat de vida

Abstract

Aquest document consta de dues parts. En la primera, s'interroga sobre la posibilitat d'una vida adulta autonoma i indipendent per a les persones amb sindrome de Down i altres discapacitas fisiques. La resposta, depres de trenta anys d'experiencies d'integracio, es afirmativa. Aixo es posibile perque les persones discapacitades han pogut exercir el dret d'existir i viuvre les originalitats i la seva identitat amb els altres, de frequentar l'escola de tothom, d'estar amb la familia. Tot seguit ed presenten algunes referencies teoriques, tretes de Vigostski i de Wertheimer, que han servit per verificar l'eficacia de les intervencions pedagogico-didactiques adrecades a les persones afedctades de discapacitat mental perque puguin esdevenir autonomes. Aquestes referencies teoriques son a la base de les experiences que es descriuen a la segona part: el projecte Habitatge Indipendent dutes a terme Rodi(italia), l'estiu de 2003 i de 2004. Aquestes experiences demostren que, efectivament, si es donen les mediacions necessaries i una educacio adequada, es possibile una vida autonoma i indipendent per a les persones amb discapacita mental.
