Dossier tecnologie. Il ruolo della scuola e della famiglia nell'uso delle tecnologie digitali per l'apprendimento fra i quindicenni italiani

Abstract

Computer a casa e a scuola: quale accesso hanno e che uso ne fanno i quindicenni delle nuove tecnologie? E come vengono formati attraverso di esse? Il testo espone alcuni risultati di un'analisi che indaga il rapporto tra tecnologie digitali e studenti italiani. Si tratta di un approfondimento realizzato grazie alle informazioni contenute nell’edizione 2009 di Pisa (Programme for International Student Assess¬ment), un’iniziativa dell’Organizzazione per la Cooperazione e lo Sviluppo Economico (OCSE) diretta a rilevare le competenze in matematica, in scienze e in lettura dei quindicenni scolarizzati nei paesi più economicamente sviluppati. I risultati fanno capo a un campione rappresentativo di 30.905 studenti (e dei loro genitori) e di 1.097 scuole (e dei loro dirigenti). E raccontano una realtà poco indagata e discussa: il ruolo delle tecnologie digitali nel promuovere l’apprendimento. I risultati che emergono non sono confortanti: la scuola italiana contribuisce in maniera ridotta a determinare la competenza digitale dei giovani e i loro orientamenti favorevoli verso le tecnologie dell’informazione.
