Valutazione energetica del convertitore di energia da onda "WAVEPISTON"

Abstract

Questo articolo presenta uno studio preliminare sulle performance di un nuovo convertitore di energia da onda, denominato WavePiston, ideato da un gruppo danese tra cui Martin Von Bülow e Kristian Glejbøl. Tale dispositivo è costituito da una serie di piatti verticali (o collettori) che, al contatto con l’onda, traslano su di una tubazione rigida. Il WavePiston è pensato per lavorare in prossimità della superficie libera ed in condizioni di profondità intermedie, cioè vicino costa. Il progetto preliminare prevede una serie di linee parallele (tubazioni) poste perpendicolarmente a riva, generalmente di estensione pari ad almeno due o tre lunghezze d’onda, che portano aria compressa alle turbine disposte sulla costa, permettendo facilmente l’accesso, il controllo e la manutenzione.
