Tras las huellas de la migración: contextos históricos-culturales y patrones migratorios en la sierra peruana

Abstract

En Perú, las etapas que conducen hasta la migración transatlántica pueden ser muchas y, a menudo, comienzan en la sierra. Quien enfrenta un viaje transoceánico ya ha cumplido un viaje migratorio desde el “Perú Profundo”, la sierra (o la selva), hacia el “Perú Oficial”, la costa: frontera de osibilidades y de nuevas salidas. Estas etapas obligadas resultan casi ser un camino de aprendizaje hacia el estilo de vida europeo, un complejo proceso que lleva a un cambio de identidad, una identidad construida mediante un cambio socio-cultural que se define a través de categorías étnicas. En éste contribución nos preguntaremos cuales son las condiciones socio- culturales en que se origina la bajada hacia la costa? ¿Porque a menudo son mujeres las que emprenden el camino hasta el viaje final, cuales son, en la sierra peruana, las problemáticas de genero que motivan el primer empuje hacia este largo camino migratorio?
