Nefroblastoma con metaplasia mucosa e cellule argentaffini in un suino

Abstract

Il nefroblastoma è la neoplasia primaria renale più frequente nel suino e nell’uomo. E’ una neoplasia disontogenetica in cui gli aspetti istologici mimano i differenti stadi di sviluppo del metanefro; istologicamente sono composti, in varia proporzione, da cellule blastemiche renali, da strutture epiteliali tubulari e da stroma. In medicina umana la classificazione istologica è più complessa rispetto al suino, in cui le varianti sono: nefroblastico, epiteliale, mesenchimale e misto. Viene descritto, in un suino, un caso di nefroblastoma con metaplasia mucipara delle cellule epiteliali dei tubuli e la presenza di granuli di origine neuroendocrina nelle medesime. La peculiarità del caso non ci risulta avere segnalazioni nella letteratura veterinaria.
