Monitoraggio ambientale nell’oasi del Fayyum

Abstract

Le attività di ricerca del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Ambientale e dei Materiali (DICAM, già DISTART) dell’Università di Bologna nella regione del Fayyum nascono dalla collaborazione con il Dipartimento di Archeologia, iniziata nel 1994, per il rilievo del sito archeologico di Bakchias. Nel corso degli anni, al rilievo topografico e fotogrammetrico dell’area di scavo, si è affiancato l’interesse per la caratterizzazione del contesto ambientale in cui il sito è inserito e per il monitoraggio delle trasformazioni in atto sul territorio. L’area di studio si è quindi estesa all’intera oasi del Fayyum, grazie all’applicazione di tecniche proprie del Telerilevamento, specialmente satellitare, in grado di fornire un quadro sinottico dell’intera zona.
